We decided to go to one of our favorite chain restaurants, Claim Jumper. We shared a California Citrus salad with the dressing and blue cheese on the side and Veggie Works Pizza. It was hard to believe that a 1/2 a salad and a single slice of pizza was enough to fill both of us. It was also interesting that the salad was almost too sweet with the dried fruit and the pizza was too salty with very little Feta cheese on it. My hubby also had a couple of glasses of wine and lets just say it hit him much harder than he was expecting. I noticed a few hours later I was gassy for the first time in months.
We will be going out to dinner with several of our detox group and I am sad to say it will likely be my last meal out for a while. I love the way my body has been feeling on the detox and I don’t want to go back to feeling anything but fantastic. I was absolutely convinced I had no food sensitivities, but getting off of everything for this long and even eating what I thought was pretty good has proven me wrong. A few others in the group have found that they too have some mild to moderate sensitivities and a few have found that foods they thought didn’t agree with them aren’t a problem once they cleaned up their diet.
I am looking forward to posting our groups results. Especially the numbers other than weight. We have had everything from no loss to 19.1 lbs lost even with a couple of cheat meals.
I highly encourage everyone to do a detox at least once a year, especially one like this program that is designed to identify food allergies and sensitivities. Most of us are just used to felling less than optimal and the digestive issues, inflammation and aches and pains came on gradually over time that many of us don’t even notice them in our day-to-day life.
