I checked the detox forum and saw a few postings about low blood pressure and their concern about too low of sodium. The moderators can’t give medical advice, but I saw 2 people who posted that their Dr. told them to increase their salt intake. There were some recommendations for unprocessed salt sources like seaweed. I also shared my numbers with a few nurse friends of mine and they both told me the numbers were too low.
On the menu for Monday’s dinner was a wild rice soup, so I added celery and a little seaweed to the soup and I was amazed at how quickly I felt better. My dizziness was gone within a few minutes. I’m still feeling a little foggy headed so I think I’ll also add some vegan protein powder to my smoothie tomorrow as well as finding ways to add a little more natural salt into my dishes.
I have to say that today was the hardest day and my son didn’t help at all. First he brought home Fried Chicken from work then invited friends over and made Spaghetti Bolognese and Garlic Bread, it smelled wonderful. I did do a small cheat, but it was still within the plan, just a day early. I added avocado to my salads today and it was wonderful.
